2/24/15 - Heat Energy Transfer

The first problem we were assigned, the graph shows the linear conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit, the equation associated with it, and calculations used.
Along with that, we have conversions from each group in the class and we found a standard deviation for the temperatures.

We solved for the final temperature of mixing two cups of water. Values were plugged in to find an answer to compare to a reading.

The LoggerPro graph of temperature versus time for putting an aluminum can of cold water into a insulated cup of hot water.

Symbolic calculation for the specific heat of the can, we found the value to be about 16.3, which is not what is found in other resources.

Given values, we found the calculated temperature at the center of a bimetal bar of cooper and aluminum.

We learned that depending on the condition, heating and cooling are exponential or logistic.
Different materials have different specific heats and other properties that change how it reacts to other materials

Error propagation of the specific heat of Al.
We had used the equation Q = mcΔT to find the uncertainty of our value, taking 12 different variables into account, we had produced a result of ±28
